Jonae Maxey

Jonae Maxey is a native Detroiter who grew up on Detroit’s East Side and graduated from Cass Technical High School. She recently graduated from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Jonae works full time at Huntington Bank as a Community Coordinator and is also a member of Huntington’s Bank Emerging Leader Advisory Board. She is the founder of Maxey Real Estate Investments, L.L.C. which is a company that aims to revitalize inner city neighborhoods without displacing the community but through community.She is also the founder of Maxey Consulting Services which aims to educate others on financial literacy and economic mobility.

During her time in college, Jonae found her passion for building bridges among communities and institutions. She started exploring this passion by creating a variety of new initiatives, programs, and organizations on campus, one of which was the International Deaf and Hearing Alliance where she took students to Mexico to volunteer with the Deaf community. While in Mexico, she helped the Deaf community begin conversations with corporations about employment opportunities.

Her love for business and positive impact within communities allows her to find voids and fill them. Jonae wants to continue to drive positive change in her communities and in the world.
